Rally to Laguna Seca 2022

We recently hosted our clients for a weekend getaway to Monterey, CA, for the first race of the 2022 Super Trofeo North America at Laguna Seca Raceway! We kicked off the weekend a bit early, with a Thursday stay at the Four Seasons Westlake Village. Once everyone arrived on Thursday afternoon, we hosted everyone at the hotel’s speakeasy, Prosperous Penny, for drinks, a light dinner, and a proper introduction to the group.

Friday morning, the weekend officially started! We held a light breakfast at the Four Seasons, followed by a drivers meeting before taking off for our 7 hour drive to Monterey. Once everyone had their delicious breakfast, we all headed to our cars, lined up, and hit the road. The route consisted of a beautiful scenic drive along the coast of Malibu, and Santa Barbara, followed by a shortcut through the hills by Santa Ynez Valley, and a freeway stretch up to Paso Robles for our much-needed lunch stop. Our lunch stop was the beautiful DAOU Vineyards, located in the hills of Paso Robles, surrounded by stunning views of vineyards for the perfect lunch setting. Our clients enjoyed a brief tour of the vineyard, followed by some delicious food, and good conversation regarding the drive.

After our eventful lunch stop at DAOU, we hit the road again, with a brief gas stop for everyone to refill their tanks before the rest of the drive. The second leg of the drive would take us all the way to Monterey, with some of the most beautiful scenery California has to offer, and some of the best driving roads in the United States. From Paso Robles, we took a short stretch of freeway down to the coast, where we would find ourselves with over 100 miles of twisty roads, and ocean views where our clients could really enjoy what these supercars, such as Huracan STO, Ferrari SF90, Huracan EVO, Gallardo Superleggera, and many others have to offer. The coastal roads eventually landed us in Big Sur, offering some of the best views nationwide, and landmarks such as McWay Falls, and the iconic Bixby Bridge.

Shortly after, we made our grand arrival at the Hyatt Regency Monterey, which would be our home for the weekend. Our group headed straight for dinner, where we would be met by fellow Lamborghini owners from Northern California, before a good night’s rest before heading to the track on Saturday, and Sunday.

Saturday morning, we woke up, got the group together, and headed over to the legendary Laguna Seca Raceway! We all had reserved parking at the top of the hill, thanks to Lamborghini, right across from the Lamborghini Hospitality where we would have breakfast while enjoying beautiful views of the track, and some amazing racecars screaming by. The day consisted of checking out IMSA Racing, as well as the first of two Super Trofeo races, with the all new Super Trofeo EVO 2 lineup to kick off the season. Throughout the day we got the opportunity to check out the paddock, where all the teams prepare their cars for racing, and we of course had to check out our very own partner, Flying Lizard Motorsport, as they got ready for some racing! Towards the end of the day, we all got the unique opportunity to take our cars for a few parade laps around the historic track, a once in a lifetime opportunity! Post parade laps, we hopped off the track, and headed straight to The Inn at Spanish Bay for a dinner with some amazing views of the golf links, and the California coast. After the most delicious meal, we headed back to the Hyatt Monterey, to get some rest for the final race day.

Sunday morning, we once again got the group together and took a short drive to Laguna Seca. This would be the final race day of the weekend, and an exciting one to say the least. The Super Trofeo race kicked off early, so we headed straight to pit row with our partners, Flying Lizard Motorsport, for a trackside view of the full race. If you have never experienced a race from pit row, we highly recommend it! 50 minutes of racing flew by, and our very own Slade Stewart took first place for the LB Cup Class, taking the podium and celebrating with some champagne showers! Once the podium celebrations concluded, we headed back to the hospitality suite for lunch, and headed back to beautiful Orange County after an amazing weekend with a great group of people.

We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for this long weekend filled with activities. We hope you all had as much fun as we did, and we cannot wait to do it again next year!
